The sun had long since disappeared behind the horizon and the beach was deadly quiet except for the soft swishing sound of the waves. Deena was seated alone on the sandy beach hugging her knees up to her chin and staring at the calm water. After a couple of minutes she stretched out her legs and lyed back down on the sand. She smiled slightly to herself, feeling relaxed.
For once, in many months, she was finally alone with no crew men buzzing around her including Jack who despite his charm sometimes he could get really annoying. Dee shrugged lightly before closing her eyes, looking peaceful.

Jack stumbled out of a side door to a tavern onto the beach. He held a bottle of rum in his hand. It was not usual of him to drink most of the time these days, but he eagerly began to consider coming to land a special occasion that warranted a bit of drink.
Jack noticed Deena sitting alone on the beach. He put the bottle down on a short ledge as he watched her. The bottle didn't stay there very long. The ledge was unable to provide a base for the whole bottle and it fell over onto a rock where it broke. Jack cursed at the rock loudly. He glared down at it as if he might be able to scare it away.
When he turned his head back to Deena, Jack began to walk over to her. This proved to be an unfortunate mistake because he walked right into a short boulder, it tripped him and he fell to the ground. He caught himself midway through the fall and was able to flip over forward and come to a seated position on the ground next to Deena. Jack turned his head to her and grinned widely, displaying his teeth.

After a couple of minutes in peace, Deena frowned to herself as she heard the sound of shattered glass. She shifted her position slightly but kept her eyes closed, determined not to be disturbed by anything. As Jack fell to the ground beside her, she couldn't help not to open her eyes. Dee watched him with narrowed eyes as he flipped over and grinned at her. She finally let out a sigh and shook her head before pulling herself into a sitting position.
Dee moved closer to Jack and eyed him slowly before returning his grin slowly. She then rested her head on his shoulder and said, "You shouldn't be drinking so much Jack..." Deena then jerked her head away and looked at him with a frown before asking, "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving the ship anyway?" She folded her hands over her chest and regarded him slowly waiting for a response.

Jack's grin seemed strong though he turned his head quickly back to the broken bottle, he seemed more saddened as he gazed over the waves of the sea. His smirk faded slowly.
Deena's words made his eye twitch a bit, though he hadn't reacted much immediately other than that. After a pause, Jack finally spoke. "I needed a time to meself. Why hadn't you invited me out to appreciate this admirable scenery with you, eh?" Jack was grinning again by the time he finished speaking. Probably didn't help make sense of his drunken rambling though.

Deena rolled her eyes and lied back down on the sand before replying, "How could I? You left before I did... but I must admit that it's nice being alone once in a while." She paused and let out a long sigh before tilting her head slightly in order to look up in Jack's face. Dee then placed her hand on top of his asked, "When are we going to set sail?"

Jack's eyes followed Deena's as she moved to lay back, he shifted his position slightly then moved back. He gave a quick toothy grin to Deena before lying down with her. When Jack turned his head to face her, his was looking confused though still slightly drunkenly joyful.
"Set sail? But we've only just arrived." Jack forgot about his love of the sea as a split consequence of his intoxicated mind and strong desire for future drink. Regardless of how he felt now, however, most knew that he'd soon grow bored on land.

"Aye aye captain," was all Deena said. She stared at his face for another couple of seconds before turning her attention back to the starry sky. Despite herself, Dee tilted her head to the side until it was resting on Jack's shoulder. She yawned and her eyes closed slowly. In a matter of seconds, Deena drifted in a peaceful sleep.

Jack's grin fell off his face as Deena fell asleep. He took her by the arm and shook her a bit. "I said we'd only just got here! Stay!" He shook her awhile more trying to wake her but he was also overcome by a yawn. He spoke sloppily during his yawn, "Yer'll crazy. . ." Soon after, he gave a shrill cry before yawning once more. Tears formed in his eyes, though he wasn't all that sad about being left awake.

When Jack shook her, Deena opened her eyes slightly just in time to hear him say they were all crazy. She rolled her eyes and turned on her side with her head and hand resting on Jack's chest. She looked up at him with tired eyes and replied slowly, "You're the crazy one..." She let her voice trail away and smiled up at Jack before asking, "And for how long will we be docked this time? Five minutes?"

Jack wiped his eyes carefully, "I wouldn't be able teh tell yeh. Hopefully a bit longer than that." Jack shrugged and put his hand on top of Deena's, "What do you think?" He asked suddenly, as if he'd found some new, interesting knowledge.

At his touch, Deena smiled and moved closer to him. The tone of his voice took her by surprise, nevertheless she smiled teasingly and said, "It sounds good with me... I don't mind sitting here." She shrugged lightly and said, "No doubt the crew went to the bar..." Once said this she looked pensive for some minutes before grinning up at him, "Heh you know it's been ages since it has been, well... just us."

Jack swallowed. He could feel her moving closer and his eyes shifted toward Deena's position. Jack cleared his throat loudly. He quickly manuevered an arm under her neck and turned onto his side looking at Deena. "Yes!" He exclaimed loudly. Then less noisily he confirmed, "Just us."

Deena smiled and wrapped an arm around his waist, she caressed his back slightly and kept staring in his eyes. After some minutes, she let her arm fall limply to her side and looked up at Jack with a teasing smile. "So captain... what are we going to do at this point?"
